FAQ's

How do I get there?

Our dog walking field is located on the left-hand side of Newfield Lane in South Cave, which is the first left on Ferry Lane, after the doctor’s surgery when approaching from South Cave village.

If you’re arriving from North Cave or Everthorpe, it’s the first right after the South Cave Plant Centre on Sand Lane, just as you enter South Cave village.

How do I get in?

The gate to get into our field is secured by a keypad entry system. Upon booking, we’ll email you your code to unlock the gate.

Are dogs in season allowed?

Absolutely! As owners of female dogs, we know how worrying it can be to let your dog run off lead when she’s in season. Happy Sniffers is the perfect place for this.

What do I need to do before I book?

All we need is your payment and contact details, which you’ll need to enter when you book online. We also ask that you check your dogs worming and vaccinations are up to date.

How do I book?

We’ve tried to make it as easy as possible! Click on the MAKE A BOOKING button at the top of our site or simply click here, fill in your details, select the available session you’d like to book, make the payment and hey presto! You’re all booked, it’s that easy! If you do have a problem when making the booking, please give us a shout, we’re here to help.

Can I change or cancel my booking?

Plans can change, so we’re happy for you to change or cancel your session up to 2 hours before your scheduled start time. Unfortunately, if you make a change after this time or if you do not use your booking, we’re unable to offer a refund. Any changes will be charged at £1 to cover administrative costs.

I can’t make the session I’ve booked, what should I do?

When you book a session you agree to our terms and conditions. We have a 2 hour reschedule period, so changes can be made up to 2 hours before your booking. This allows prime time sessions to be available to everybody and empty sessions can be rebooked.

You can reschedule your own appointments up to 2 hours before your sessions via the CHANGE button at the bottom of your confirmation email.

Is there a poo bin?

Yes. Here at Happy Sniffers we’re all about the good sniffs. Needless to say, we expect you to pick up your dog’s poop and put all rubbish in the bin provided (because no one wants to be sniffing that).

How many dogs can I bring?

We allow a maximum of 8 dogs per booking. However, if you have more than 8 dogs, please contact Penny directly on 07880 713856 or hello@happysniffers.co.uk to make arrangements.

Can I bring a friend and their dog to my booking?

Absolutely! We love nothing more than having a walk with our friends while our dogs run free.

Please remember that by making a booking you agree to our Terms and Conditions and are therefore responsible for anyone / any dog using the field at the time of your session.

Also, please be mindful of the number of dogs we allow per time slot (surcharges may apply) and please, no more than 8 dogs per session without prior arrangement.

How do I contact you?

If you have a general enquiry, please email hello@happysniffers.co.uk. We do our best to respond within 48 hours but please note, whilst the field might be open, our office does not keep the same hours.

If you need to speak to us more urgently, please call Penny on 07880 713856.

How secure is the field?

Happy Sniffers is all about keeping you and your dog safe. Our field is secured by a double-entry gate and a 2m high fence around the full perimeter dug into the ground to prevent dogs from escaping.

While we’ve created a space to keep you and your dog as safe as possible, please be aware you use the facility at your own risk and in doing so, accept responsibility for you, your dogs and anyone you bring with you.

OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK

This is such a great place to practice recall and basic training with my new dog, away from the distraction of other dogs, people and everything else!

Andrew

It was great to meet my friend and her dog to socialise my puppy in a big but safe and secure environment off lead. We’ll definitely be coming back again.

Becky

Now I’m working from home, the field is great because it means I schedule our walk in my diary and my dogs can get straight to what they love - running about and chasing a ball off-lead. It’s such a great space.

Carol

As someone who can’t walk a dog on a lead due to a disability, the Happy Sniffers field is ideal for me to enjoy the outdoors and safely walk my dog.

Christine

Having a nervous rescued greyhound, the field is a space he can feel more comfortable and run around without fear. It also gives us confidence that he’s safe and can enjoy running free.
